Donna’s Cookies became a legal cooperation on April 10, 1988 and has been going strong ever since. Prior to that, the founder, Donna Fry (Kamimura) would make cookies, sushi and other local favorites and sell them at Farmer’s Markets in Waimea where she grew up. There was so much of a demand for the cookies that she opened a certified kitchen in Honokaa to bake the cookies. After a couple of years she moved to her current location in Kainehe Village near Paauilo.

   

100% of the ingredients in the cookies can be found at your local grocery store. We have some industrial equipment, but we do things the old fashion way which gives the cookies its homemade taste. The process we use has not changed in the 30 years of operation. Although we still have a few of the original employees, some have retired within the last couple of years. We miss them, but it is always great to see them around town.
